Laminated glass made with Saflex interlayer provides occupant protection in case of an accident, as well as provide improved impact resistance. In addition, when impacted, the glass tends to stay in the frame, protecting occupants in the vehicle from broken glass and the interior of the car from the weather.
In addition to meeting all the global standards and norms specified for windshields (ISO, JIS, EU43, and FMVSS 205[ASTM/SAEZ26.1]), glazings with Saflex PVB interlayer can meet or exceed emerging penetration norms for vehicle side window intrusion resistance and occupant ejection mitigation.
Saflex glazing interlayer is also available to meet the higher penetration resistance requirements often required by emergency response vehicles or other high performance applications.
