Laminated glass made with Saflex interlayer can provide up to two minutes of intrusion resistance - up to 60 times the security of tempered glass!
Laminated glass made with Saflex interlayer provides the security of enhanced penetration resistance compared to tempered glass. In addition, when impacted, the glass tends to stay in the frame, protecting occupants in the vehicle from broken glass and the interior of the car from the weather.
In addition to meeting all the global standards and norms specified for the penetration resistance of windshields (ISO, JIS, EU43, and FMVSS 205[ASTM/SAEZ26.1]), side, rear, or roof glazings made with Saflex PVB interlayer can meet or exceed emerging penetration norms for vehicle side window intrusion resistance and occupant ejection mitigation.
Saflex glazing interlayer is also available to meet the higher penetration resistance requirements often requested by fleet operators or others whose vehicles may contain high value equipment or who may otherwise need to restrict unauthorized access to the vehicle contents.
